"To learn to live with less in this land of milk and honey
will demand of all of us, each in his own way, a rapid expansion of our inner resources."
-Ismar Schorsch
If you are in debt, feeling that your career is
not what you want it to be
or you feel that you need a new relationship with money...
Find out what “enough” means to you!
Your Money Or Your Life is a best-selling book by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin
about a nine-step program for personal financial transformation. Your Money Or Your Life also refers to a world of
nine-step program resources for changing the way you earn, spend and save money -- and help others do the same.
Melissa Reardon is currently a member of the speakers’ bureau for Your Money or Your Life. It is supported by the New Road Map Foundation.
By working the YMOYL program, Melissa and her husband paid back $58,000 in debt so that they
may work collectively on promoting sustainability. They are currently working on the last step of the program; achieving
financial independence. They live off the land with their organic garden and orchard in the neighborhood of Milwaukie/Oak
Grove and are making plans to remodel their small home to make it more self sustaining; including rainwater collection,
solar power and higher energy efficiency modifications.
As her husband Kelly works for Sustainable Northwest, Melissa has had the opportunity to work
in several different venues with the organization to support SNW’s important mission to help rural
communities and economies become more sustainable. Melissa presents marketing workshops for artists and “Living Simply”
classes in community colleges while she works on literary projects--exploring the integration of spirit and sustainability.
She is available for introductory sessions with all kinds of organizations (churches, synagogues, volunteer
organizations and the like) to present the basic tenets of this invaluable program.
